Over 45 years’ experience working with horses and equestrian organizations. I have experience as an equestrian instructor and trainer; schooling horse show judge; NFHR Evaluator trainee; class A horse show manager; and stable manager. I have owned and/or trained many different horse breeds. I was a member of the NFHR Board of Directors and Secretary from 2005 through 2010. During that time, I chaired or co-chaired the Evaluation and Show Committees, and severed on many other committees. I have been active in several equestrian clubs to include NFHR, US Icelandic Horse Congress, American Driving Society, United States Equestrian Federation, United States Dressage Federation, Florida 4-H, Colorado Arabian Horse Club and many others. In these organizations, I have held positions of president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, publicity, training, committee member, and participating member. I retired from the U.S. Air Force after 25 years of service. I am a Certified Department of Defense Level II Acquisition-Program Manager, a Level I Acquisition-Logistics Manager, Air Force Master Technical Instructor, and a TQM facilitator-trainer.

Currently, Marsha Korose and I have 3 Fjord stallions, 2 Fjord mares, 3 Fjord geldings, and 7 Icelandics in Mathias, West Virginia. We are very active promoting Fjords at major horse expos in the region and numerous other smaller events. We also compete with the Fjords in combined and pleasure driving events.
